Tea Party Birthday Blooms

Tea Party Birthday BloomHow often do you revisit your ‘old’ stamp sets?  With the Spring Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! due in a month’s time, I am eagerly awaiting new designs and new ideas.  But what to do about all my other stamp sets and my stash of papers?

I love scrolling through other people’s blogs and being inspired by their creations.  I make note of the designs then use them to make my own cards.   This card is one by Cindy Lawrence and I LOVED the 3 little ribbon knots!  So, I decided to create my own variation and mix a little of the New with one of my favourite ‘old’ images.

My stamp sets are all within reach and eyesight so I can peruse which images I might use for a particular card.  I am very short on birthday cards at the moment ~ lots of lovely Angel Ladies have birthdays in the next couple of months ~ so decided to have a play with the flower cake image from one of the original Hostess sets in the year I signed up as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  It’s heaps of fun to colour the different blooms which make up the cake, and I am thoroughly enJOYing using my Soft Subtles Markers (the only set I have … So Far!).

Thanks, Cindy, for such wonderful Inspiration!
