David and I went for an early morning walk on the weekend, retracing a path I travelled last week, so I could take photos.
It was Very Foggy!
What I enJOYed the most about this walk was the hint and suggestion of faeries. Everywhere I looked I could sense the magic these wonderful beings create. This is also a path filled with Tree People. In fact, I found a Grove of these amazing beings.
Noticing Tree People takes some practise. I sense them before I ’see’ them … this group of lovely beings caught my eye because I’d been ‘introduced’ to some of their kinsmen outside our hotel in Alice Springs. Each tree had it’s own personality and was similar to but different from it’s neighbours.
Another special part about walking early and in the fog is spying the spider webs, all adorned with their water droplet jewels. David found a bunch of webs on trees just near our Grove of Tree Folk. Of course, we had to take lots of photos, both of us trying out different techniques with the camera. I really wanted to go home and get Treasure Queen Jenny because she gets as excited about spider’s webs as I do! We had heaps of fun taking photos of sparkling spider webs at Montsalvat.
The sun broke through cloud and dissipated fog by late morning and while I LOVE blue skies and sunshine, I realised that there is a special magic to grey and foggy, too.

Great photos Michelle – I just love the fog its makes me feel cosy and protected- I took some great shots when in the outback visiting my son.
