Hay House Australia’s Writer’s Workshop

Oh My God!

What an amazing, inspiring day filled with so much motivation that I found it hard not to rush out the door, come home and write.  And that was at the first break!

CONGRATULATIONS to Hay House for a wonderful event – lots of excellent advice and suggestions, lots of laughter, lots of different authors to experience.  We Are So Blessed!

I’ve come home with a NEW passion for social media and interactive infographics ‘stuff’.  Oh WOW!

Doreen Virtue was wonderful to hear.  I loved her message about calling on the Angels and Ascended Masters for help and the ‘visual’ representation of your book as you are writing it.

I AM A BEST SELLING AUTHOR!

Denise Linn was fabulous!  She was funny and entertaining and had great stories about how to ‘stand out’ from everyone else.  I particularly liked the concept of sharing a vision circle with a group of others and everyone helping one person with ‘their’ vision.  It’s very similar to Sonia Choquette’s “Believing Eyes”.   Rachelle and I decided we want to visit Summerhill Ranch!

I am going to work on some wonderful things from today – social media (I am a little ‘underdeveloped’ in this area :-D ) and putting myself out there – even more!  Leon and Reid suggested working on creating a ‘platform’ as being a key area in which to begin the ‘becoming an author’ process, which basically means developing a network of people who want to read what you’ve written.  I am blessed with a group of gorgeous friends who have already said they want to read my book …

One of the questions asked was how many words are recommended for a good book length?  The answer was along the lines of however many words are needed to tell your story, but a good length is 70 000 words.  I only have 20 000 left to write!  Thank goodness for NaNoWriMo 2010!  I’m in the groove of writing after that challenge so it will be a much more manageable process from here on in.  [Let me know if you want to be added to my 'list' of folks wanting to read my FIRST BOOK!]

So many great concepts and suggestions and approaches were shared by Rachael Bermingham and Deepak Chopra, too.  The day was filled from beginning to end with tips and tricks and all of them were manageable!

And, as always at these events, the people around me made my day.  I was delighted to share the time with Rachelle Charman - there was a LOT of laughter! – and Lovely John (about to travel overseas for 3 months on a pilgrimmage – maybe to find the book within?), Lynette (hope you are feeling much better by now!) and Tahni – gorgeous and inspiring!  These were just the people sitting ‘next’ to me!  Loved connecting with the people along from us, behind us and in front of us.  Hello to Yvonne and Karen, too!

I only indulged in 1 new card deck … Life Purpose Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. :-D   But, I might just have to indulge in some more today, at I Can Do It!  YAY!
